Summary of term 3
For this term, I learnt about
- Cells and division of labour
- Diffusion and osmosis
- Digestive system
- Thermal energy
For this term, we are mostly relearning topics, but with more detail and new insights. For cells, we learnt about the different parts and how they are essential for the cell's survival. We also did experiments, where we had the chance to view human cheek cells and onion cells. Also, we had the fortune to view some red blood cells kindly donated by a classmate(He had a wound at that time). For diffusion and osmosis, we made bouncy eggs. First, we used a dilute acid to get rid of the outer shell, leaving the membrane and the inside of the egg. Then, we submerged the egg into a cup of water. By the next day, the eggs had already swollen a lot. There were some people who wanted to test the bounciness of the egg, and others liked to play pranks, so there were sme casualties(My friend smelled of egg the whole day). We watched some videos for digestive system and thermal energy. This term, I got even worser results than last term, having 70/100 only. I feel that I have not revised enough, therefore I shall revise more for the end of year exams, do my best and strive for an A1!
